• Students from the 27 EU Member countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland,
Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, the UK, Sweden, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland,
Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia), the EEA-EFTA states (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and candidate countries for accession to
the EU (presently Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey).
These students are not entitled to the Erasmus Mundus
scholarship. They receive a scholarship from the consortium instead.
• “Third country” students, i.e. students
who are not residents of any of the above titled countries, and who have
not carried out their main
activities (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of
12 months over the last five years in any of the above mentioned countries.
These students are also entitled to receive the Erasmus
Mundus scholarship.
